Rooted and Grounded
The evolution of women establishing success in diverse areas of business and in life is triumphant. Although there are times that we may still fight the labels of society, it is clear, that we are not waiting for the permission to show ourselves approved. Many women have been trapped in a life of “have to’s” and have often left their dreams behind to fulfill their obligations. Today the women who are leading lifestyles that are in alignment with their visions, to include life and business, have used every stepping stone: good, bad, and learned to dispel the idea we must wait. In the wake of this explosion, our success may seem innovative; however, it has been our existence all along.
Remember when we were growing up and momma had to make her house a home. In the steps she used to prepare her home, there are some key principles that were used to get her “house in order”. She knew a foundation was essential to move forward. Momma had to have a vision. The layout of the home, the support of the family, the behavior of the children, community connections, and the love of self were all a part of her vision. She knew instinctively that without having a vision and a plan of execution the ripple effect could prove to be disastrous. To get to a place of vision excellence she would implement daily the established family goals staying fluid, open, and aware of any modifications that were needed. During her process, can you imagine the frustration, even depression related to imparting the vision in to those who were moving in another direction because they would not attach to the plan even though it benefited them. In addition to that frustration, her role infused an unspoken understanding that she had to play the background for fear of being seen by others. Let’s get real, she probably received backlash for her solidarity. With all of that going on, momma still had to make sure with immutable faith that the legacy came forth. Does any of this sound familiar? I’m sure it does, it is the blue print for how we are living today.
Creation is a woman’s work and success is its core. It is defined by the echo of our being and resonates in our homes, the corporate world, business ownership, and life. Our success is an initiative that will continue to gain momentum and change lives. We are continually overcoming adversity, forming balance, emerging, and advancing as planned.
