Shannon Denean is a writer, women’s empowerment speaker, community advocate, budding entrepreneur, and the voice behind , a weekly blog that empowers women to push through and get the most out of life. The Atlanta native is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism. She later continued her education at Walden University, graduating with a marketing-focused Masters of Business Administration. Most recently, Shannon recently received her Junior Software Developer certification from Tech Talent South.

When she’s not working, Shannon is working hard to make the world a better place. For the past 15 years she has served the Atlanta community in several leadership capacities with the Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. and also as President of the Board of Directors for Sporty Girls, Inc. For the past 4 years, Shannon has been a committed volunteer and advocate with Wellspring Living for Girls, an organization that provides a safe haven for survivors of sex trafficking. In 2017, Shannon won the title of Mrs. Georgia Plus America and has used her reign to bring awareness in the fight against commercial sex trafficking and child exploitation. Shannon and her husband Jorome are the proud parents of Matthew (or, as he is known on the internet, KidWonderful), their rambunctious, funny, bright, demanding, opinionated 4 year-old and her two bonus children JaDarius and Maya.
